LOS ANGELES -- Renowned mezzo-soprano Marilyn Horne will perform on 100 Years of Broadway featuring South Pacific at the Hollywood Bowl this summer. Now in its 79th year, the Hollywood Bowl summer festival will kick off with an opening night gala June 25 (with Sir George Martin conducting a celebration of the music of the Beatles).
Horne's Broadway concert is scheduled for July 9 & 10. She will be joined by such vocalists as Susan Egan, Justino Diaz and Davis Gaines, plus the Mitch Hanlon Singers.
Music from a century of Broadway favorites will be offered, plus a sneak preview of Broadway's upcoming musical fare.
