Film & TV News EGOT Winner Rita Moreno Shares the Ups and Downs of Her Life and Career The West Side Story star can currently be seen on the acclaimed Netflix reboot of One Day at a Time.

Rita Moreno, who co-stars in the Netflix reboot of the 1970s sitcom One Day at a Time, chatted with Al Roker on NBC’s Today Show July 9.

Moreno spoke openly about the ups and downs of her celebrated career, which includes winning an Oscar for her performance as Anita in the film version of the American classic West Side Story. The veteran actor was equally candid about her personal life, including her 46-year marriage to the late Dr. Leonard Gordon. Watch the full interview above.

The multi-talented actor, dancer, and singer is one of only a handful of performers to receive all four major American entertainment awards, winning the Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Awards. Her credits span more than seven decades, beginning with her Broadway debut at age 13. She has starred on Broadway and in London’s West End, appeared in more than 40 feature films and countless television shows, and performed in numerous regional theatres and in her one-woman show (Life Without Makeup) at the Berkeley Rep.
