Video El Mago Pop Visits The Today Show Ahead of Broadway Debut

See Antonio Díaz magically transport four people across the morning show's plaza.

Magic is in the air on Broadway—and this time, we don't mean Harry Potter. Spanish illusionist Antonio Díaz, aka El Mago Pop, is ready to make his Broadway debut at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre beginning August 17. He dropped by The Today Show July 31 to give us a sneak peek of his show. Based on the trick Díaz brought, we can expect his Main Stem debut to be very... transporting. Watch above.

Díaz will perform close-up magic and illusions in this show which looks to surprise and pay tribute to the dreams and illusions we all have. For the illusionist, performing on Broadway has been one of his own lifelong dreams, as he shared in an earlier statement. “It will undoubtedly be the biggest challenge of my career," he said. "I am certain it will be a life-altering experience that I will remember for the rest of time.”

The 37-year-old will be the youngest illusionist to perform his own show on Broadway. He is the highest-grossing European illusionist in the world, and has two Netflix shows.
