News Elaine Paige Will Make Town Hall Concert Debut Playbill.com has learned that Olivier winner Elaine Paige, who played Carlotta in the Tony-nominated Broadway revival of Follies, will make her Town Hall concert debut in March.

The award-winning actress will play the Manhattan venue March 9 at 8 PM. Tickets, according to a Town Hall representative, will go on sale Jan. 11 at noon through TicketMaster.

Additional details will be announced at a later time.

The Town Hall is located in Manhattan at 123 W. 43rd St.

As previously reported, Paige will also play several other concert dates in the States. Current U.S. tour dates follow:

Feb. 26 at the Mesa Arts Center in Mesa, AZ
Feb. 27 at the McCallum Theatre in Palm Desert, CA
March 4-5 at the Crest Theatre in Delray Beach, FL
March 7 at the Birchmere in Alexandria, VA
March 12 at the Cabaret at Theater Square in Pittsburgh, PA

Elaine Paige was brought to the public's attention when she created the role of Eva Peron in the original London production of Evita. She then created the role of Grizabella in the original production of Cats and followed with a recording hit: "I Know Him So Well," with Barbara Dickson, from the concept album of Chess. Paige later starred in the West End mounting of Chess as well as London productions of Anything Goes, The King and I, Piaf and Sunset Boulevard. She repeated her work as Norma Desmond for New York audiences, and in 2004 she performed the role of Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd at the New York City Opera (and snagged a Drama Desk Award nomination for her work). She has recorded 16 solo albums and six cast albums. In 1995 Paige received the Order of the British Empire for services to Musical Theatre. Paige most recently starred on the London stage in the title role of The Drowsy Chaperone and on the Broadway stage as Carlotta in Follies (Drama Desk nomination). The Olivier winner currently hosts a weekly radio program for the BBC.
