Ron Eldard joins the cast of Death of a Salesman July 28, replacing the departing Kevin Anderson in the role of Biff Loman.

Eldard most recently appeared Off-Broadway with Calista Flockhart and Paul Rudd in bash, Neil LaBute's collection of monologues. Eldard made his Broadway debut as Terry Malloy in On the Waterfront. His television and film credits include "Sleepers," "Scent of a Woman," "Mystery Alaska", HBO's "When Trumpets Fade" and a season of NBC's "ER."

Anderson was nominated for a Tony Award for his portrayal. Brian Dennehy and Elizabeth Franz won the prize for their performances. Salesman also collected Tonys for best revival of a play and best direction of a play (Robert Falls).

Along with stars Dennehy and Franz , the show features Ted Koch as Happy Loman, Chelsea Altman, Kate Buddeke, Barbara eda Young, Allen Hamilton, Kent Klineman, Stephanie March, Steve Pickering and Richard Thompson.

Dennehy is the veteran of many films, including "First Blood" and "Cocoon," as well as stage productions of Galileo and The Iceman Cometh . Franz recently appeared Off-Broadway in the Atlantic Theatre Company's production of Miles from the Blue Route . Death of a Salesman , directed by Robert Falls, played an acclaimed run earlier this year at Chicago's Goodman Theatre before being picked up for a Broadway visit. Falls was recently plucked to restage Disney's troubled new musical, Aida (previously titled "Elaborate Lives").
