News Elizabeth Banks to Direct "Pitch Perfect 2," Starring Tony and Oscar Nominee Anna Kendrick Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson will reprise their roles from "Pitch Perfect" in a forthcoming sequel, Deadline.com reports.

The movie, titled "Pitch Perfect 2," will be written by Kay Cannon and directed by Emmy nominee Elizabeth Banks. It will be released May 15, 2015.

The 2012 movie followed Beca (Kendrick), who joined The Bellas, her school's all-girls singing group. Kendrick's hit solo, "Cups," achieved triple-platinum status.

Kendrick recently finished filming Rob Marshall's "Into the Woods," where she plays Cinderella. She also recently filmed the screen adaptation of Jason Robert Brown's musical The Last Five Years and has appeared in the "Twilight" film series, "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" and "50/50".

Kendrick, who received an Oscar nomination for her role in "Up in the Air," was a Tony nominee at age 12 for her role as Dinah in High Society and gave a memorable performance of "The Ladies Who Lunch" in the movie "Camp."

Wilson's film credits include "What to Expect When You're Expecting" and "Bridesmaids." Her TV work includes "Super Fun Night."

Banks, who played Gail in "Pitch Perfect," has also been featured in "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire," "Modern Family" and "30 Rock."
