News Ellen Barkin Will Be "Happyish" in New Showtime Pilot Ellen Barkin, who won a Tony Award for her Broadway debut as Dr. Emma Brookner in The Normal Heart, will be featured in the new Showtime comedy pilot "Happyish," according to Deadline.com.

As the realistic headhunter Dani Kirschenbloom, Barkin will co-star with Steve Coogan, who will play Thom Payne. The show, which follows the 44-year-old Payne's life being disrupted after his 25-year-old boss arrives, is described as an examination of the pursuit of happiness.

The show will also feature Kathryn Hahn (Boeing-Boeing, "Parks and Recreation") and Bradley Whitford (A Few Good Men, Boeing-Boeing).

Barkin is an Emmy Award winner for "Before Women Had Wings" and has appeared in the films "Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas," "This Boy’s Life," "Drop Dead Gorgeous" and "Ocean’s Thirteen," among others. Her TV credits also include "The New Normal" and "Modern Family."
