As part of the evening, EAT will hold a silent auction for prizes including dates with Cheyenne Jackson (Xanadu, Finian's Rainbow), Tony winner Clark (The Light in the Piazza) and playwright Tina Howe.
As previously reported, the evening will unite theatre performers (who will select songs) and EAT playwrights, who will rewrite the lyrics for the "food-centric" benefit. In addition to Clark (The Light in the Piazza) and Kimball (Memphis), the concert will feature Capathia Jenkins (Caroline, or Change), Ryan Duncan (Altar Boyz), Zach James (Addams Family), Matthew Hydzik (West Side Story) and Sebastian LaCause (Dancing in the Dark).
The catered benefit evening will take place 6-9 PM at the Prince George Ballroom within the Prince George Hotel. In addition to benefiting Emerging Artists Theatre, proceeds will also go to the Actors Fund of America and Common Ground.
Emerging Artists Theatre devotes its programming to developing new works from new playwrights and theatre artists. The company has premiered over 300 new works in its 18-year history.
For tickets, ranging $100-$300, phone (800) 838-3006 or visit EmergingArtistsTheatre. The Prince George Hotel is located at 15 East 27th Street (between Fifth and Madison Avenues).
