News Emerson Steele, Young Star of Violet and Parade, to Make Solo Debut; Derek Klena and Annie Golden Among Special Guests Emerson Steele, featured on the New York stage in Violet and Parade, will debut her solo show Roles I Can’t Play Now … Or Ever … Except Tonight! Oct. 14 at 7 PM at 54 Below.

"Every performer has received the feedback: 'Sorry, you’re not young/old/tall/short/MALE enough for this role,'" according to notes.

"So what’s a girl to do? With tongue in cheek, with humor and heart, bringing songs, stories, dances, and goofy antics, 2014 Theatre World Award winner, Emerson Steele, turns the norms upside down and for one night will play the roles she has always wanted to play – and some she hopes to play in the future!"
