Video Emily Blunt Had a Crush on Dick Van Dyke Growing Up The Mary Poppins Returns star discusses her new movie and SAG nominations.

Finishing up her media tour for Mary Poppins Returns, in theatres December 19, Emily Blunt visited The Late Show With Stephen Colbert with a lighthearted and candid interview.

“I was really into Bert from the original. Come on. Multi-talented. Could play any instrument, could draw, sweep your chimney—if you know what I mean...Disney is loving this,” she said with a laugh.

Having made her movie musical debut in Into the Woods as The Baker’s Wife, Blunt was asked to take on the role of the beloved British nanny by director-choreographer Rob Marshall (Chicago, Nine).

In the video above, we see a clip from Mary Poppins Returns as Blunt chats with host Stephen Colbert about her two SAG nominations, Golden Globe nominations, and plays “Blunt Emily Blunt” where she’s forced to choose between Christmas in London or Christmas in New York and her husband's The Office or Jack Ryan.
