News Emmy Nominee Will Direct Austin Pendleton in Revival of Two Hander Chinese Coffee Emmy nominee Louise Lasser will direct stage legend Austin Pendleton (The Diary of Anne Frank, "My Cousin Vinny") and collaborator Sean Walsh in the revival of Ira Lewis' Chinese Coffee Off Broadway at the Roy Arias Stage II Theater beginning Sept. 24.

On The Wind Productions presents the revival, which has an official opening Sept. 28 and a limited run through Oct. 3.

According to press notes, "Chinese Coffee begins at 1 AM on a freezing winter night in New York City in 1983. What comes next will change the course of their relationship and challenge the fabric of their lives"

Lasser, Pendleton and Walsh are longtime collaborators who met and began working together at HB Studios; this revival marks the first time that all three artists will work together.

Ira Lewis has six full length plays and is perhaps best known for his work The Sponsor which was produced Off Broadway and featured the late Eli Wallach. Chinese Coffee was first presented at The Aspen Playwrights Conference and then in New York by The Actors Studio.
