News Emmy Winner Fuller to Return to Birdland in March Emmy Award winner Penny Fuller, a Tony nominee for her work in the original Broadway production of Applause, will return to the intimate stage of Birdland in March.

Fuller is scheduled to perform an evening of theatre songs and popular music on March 6 in An Evening with Penny Fuller. The concert, which debuted in November to a sold-out crowd, features direction by Barry Kleinbort with musical direction by David Gaines. Show time at the famed jazz club is 7 PM. Penny Fuller made her Broadway debut in 1962 in the original play The Moon Besieged. She received Tony nominations for her work in Applause and The Dinner Party; her other Broadway credits include Barefoot in the Park, Cabaret, Rex and An American Daughter. Fuller was also seen Off-Broadway in William Finn's A New Brain. Her numerous television appearances have garnered her six Emmy nominations and the Emmy Award for her performance in "The Elephant Man."
