Encore Drama, part of the Starz network, will air two Richardson films, "Patty Hearst" at 8 PM and "The Handmaid's Tale" at 9:45 PM. In "Patty Hearst," Encore notes state, "Richardson stars as heiress Patty Hearst, granddaughter of publishing magnate William Randolph Hearst, who was abducted in 1974 by American revolutionaries. The film is directed by Paul Schrader and costars William Forsythe, Ving Rhames and Frances Fisher."

"In a futuristic America," notes state, "The Handmaid's Tale" — directed by Volker Schlondorff — "is set in a repressive, bible-inspired regime. Richardson portrays Kate, who is guilty of the crime of trying to escape from the U.S. She is sentenced to become a Handmaid, whose job is to bear children of the man to whom she is assigned."

Ms. Richardson died March 18 following a skiing accident in Montreal. The acclaimed actress earned a Tony Award for her performance as Sally Bowles in the Sam Mendes-Rob Marshall revival of Cabaret. She was also known for her work on Broadway in Closer and in the recent revival of A Streetcar Named Desire. For more information, read Playbill.com's obituary.
