It will also open, with a different cast, at Broadway's Broadhurst Theatre, with performances beginning April 8, prior to an official opening April 27. Norbert Leo Butz will play Skilling on Broadway.

The play originally premiered at Chichester's Minerva Theatre in July 2009, then transferred to London's Royal Court Theatre, where it ran for a six-week sold out engagement from September to November 2009. The West End transfer of the joint production of Headlong, Chichester Festival Theatre and the Royal Court Theatre will be produced by Matthew Byam Shaw, Act Productions, Caro Newling for Neal St. Productions, Jeffrey Richard and Jerry Frankel.

Based on real-life events and using music, dance and video, Enron explores one of the most infamous scandals in financial history, reviewing the tumultuous 1990s and casting a new light on the financial turmoil in which the world currently finds itself.

Enron is directed by Rupert Goold, whose previous productions include Chichester's Minerva Theatre staging of Macbeth (that subsequently transferred to the West End and Broadway) and Six Characters in Search of an Author (that transferred to the West End). Other recent credits include Time and the Conways at the National Theatre, Pete Postlethwaite in King Lear, and West End productions of Pinter's No Man's Land and Oliver! (currently at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane). He also recently directed Turandot for English National Opera at the London Coliseum. He was awarded the Best Director Award at this year's Evening Standard Theatre Awards for directing Enron.

Enron is designed by Anthony Ward with music and sound by Adam Cork. Lighting is by Mark Henderson, video and projection by Jon Driscoll and movement by Scott Ambler. West's theatre credits include Antony and Cleopatra and the original production of Tom Stoppard's Arcadia at the National Theatre, The Family Reunion and Betrayal at the Donmar Warehouse and the title roles in Hamlet and Richard II for the RSC.

Amanda Drew plays Claudia Roe. Her recent theatre credits include Parlour Song and A Chain Play at the Almeida Theatre and The Ugly One, The Stone and Faces in the Crowd at the Royal Court. Tom Goodman-Hill plays Andrew Fastow, Enron's former chief financial officer. His recent theatre credits include Spamalot in the West End and Tartuffe at the National Theatre.

Tim Pigott-Smith plays Enron's original founder Ken Lay. He has worked extensively with the RSC and the National Theatre, and recently played Henry Higgins in Pygmalion in Peter Hall's Theatre Royal Bath production and on its national tour. His television credits include "Foyle's War" and "The Jewel in the Crown."

The cast also includes Gillian Budd, Peter Caulfield, Howard Charles, Susannah Fellows, Stephen Fewell, Tom Godwin, Orion Lee, Eleanor Matsuura, Ashley Rolfe, Ewan Wardrop and Trevor White.
