News Eric Bogosian's Revised Humpty Dumpty Plays San Jose Rep, March 22-April 20 Eric Bogosian's Humpty Dumpty makes its west coast premiere at San Jose Repertory Theatre, March 22-April 20. The production directed by John McCluggage will open at the California stage, March 28.

In Humpty Dumpty a writer, his wife, an old college buddy and his actress girlfriend are settling in at their vacation retreat when all hell breaks loose: the electricity goes out, the water shuts odd, the roads become closed and shotgun blasts are heard in the distance. Written before Sept. 11, 2001, Bogosian has significantly revised the work since.

Bogosian is known for his plays Talk Radio and subUrbia. Also a solo performer, his one-man works have included Sex, Drugs, Rock & Roll, Pounding Nails in the Floor With My Forehead, Drinking in America and Wake Up and Smell the Coffee.

The cast for Humpty Dumpty features Elizabeth Hanly Rice (The Herbal Bed, Gone Home), Saxon Palmer (Three Sisters, Design for Living), Amy Brewczynski, Louis Lotorto and Andy Murray.

The design team includes Douglas R. Rogers (set), Lap Chi Chu (lighting), B. Modern (costume) and Steve Schoenbeck (sound).
