"Once in a Lifetime," like Sammy & Me, is inspired by late entertainer Sammy Davis, Jr. The album is a collection of Davis' hits including "Hey There," "The Candy Man" "What Kind of Fool Am I?" and "Mr. Bojangles."

The 12-track album is currently available for download at Young's official website, EricJordanYoung, as well as digitally at Digstation and CDBaby. An iTunes release date will be announced shortly.

Sammy & Me will officially open in Atlanta Oct. 6. The work incorporates Young's own obsession with the acclaimed song and dance man, as he recounts Davis' life from the Chitlin Circuit to his days as a member of the Rat Pack and a Las Vegas headliner. It also explores Davis' struggle to transcend race as an American performer.

Young also appeared on Broadway in the original cast and Broadway revival of Ragtime, as well as Chicago, Seussical: The Musical and The Look of Love. His Off-Broadway credits include Neighbors and Dessa Rose.
