News Errico Misses Dracula Performances Due to Vocal Strain Melissa Errico, who plays the comely and virginal Mina of Broadway's Dracula, the Musical, missed the Sept. 7 and (matinee) Sept. 8 performances due to vocal cord strain, and is expected to be out again for the Sept. 8 evening show.

Understudy Elizabeth Loyacano has stepped into the part at the Belasco Theatre. A spokesman for the show said there was no word when Errico (Amour, High Society, My Fair Lady) would be back.

The musical by composer Frank Wildhorn and writers Don Black and Christopher Hampton is directed by Des McAnuff and stars Tom Hewitt as the Eastern European vampire count and Errico as his pure British quarry, Mina Murray.
