Directed by Ethan McSweeny (A View from the Bridge, A Body of Water, Romeo and Juliet), the production will officially open March 25. Performances will continue through May 8.

The cast will be led by Peter Michael Goetz as Major Paul Petkoff with Kate Eifrig (Catherine), Summer Hagen (Louka), Jim Lichtscheidl (Bluntschli), J.C. Cutler (Nicola), Jason Rojas (Young Russian Officer), Mariko Nakasone (Raina Petkoff) and Michael Schantz (Major Sergius Saranoff).

"Crackling with wit, irony and charm, Shaw's romantic comedy pokes fun at the dangers of bravado in battle and idealistic notions of love," according to the Guthrie. "Arms and the Man contrasts the practical military knowledge of a Swiss mercenary - who knows that old soldiers carry food in their holsters and young ones pistols - with the romantic posturing of a Bulgarian soldier who becomes a hero by leading an improbably successful, and stupid, cavalry charge. As Raina awaits the return of her heroic fiancé Sergius from war, a disheveled Bluntschli sneaks into her bedroom fleeing the fight. Finding his simplicity more alluring than her fiancé's arrogant posturing, she's faced with singling out the real man for her. Will it be the 'accidental hero' who is more toy than soldier? Or the pragmatic 'coward' who comes armed with chocolates instead of bullets?"
