Call Me Miss Birds Eye: A Celebration of Ethel Merman features more than 30 songs from the star's catalogue, such as "There’s No Business Like Show Business," "Everything’s Coming up Roses," "I Get A Kick Out of You" and "Anything You Can Do." It follows her real-life journey from a day job as a stenographer to starring in her first musical, Girl Crazy, and examines how she stood her ground against some of musical theatre's most famous composers.

The production is directed by Frank McCarty with musical direction by Dr. Graham Clarke and choreography by Rick Wallace. The cast also features Martin Grimwood, Don Bridges and Jillian Gundermann. Damien Muller is the designer, and Daniel West is the production manager.

The show is presented by Australia's Acoustic Voice, an acoustic theatre company founded in 2012 that works exclusively with bel canto technique, the traditional Italian vocal technique that Merman herself perfected.
