News "Evita," "Newsies" and "Sister Act" Released On Blu-Ray June 19 The 1996 film adaptation of Evita, as well as the original films of "Newsies" and "Sister Act" are released June 19 on Blu-ray for the first time.

The 135-minute Golden Globe Award-winning film of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's Evita stars Madonna in the title role, with Antonio Banderas as Che and Jonathan Pryce as Peron.

The Blu-ray release includes such features as "The Making Of 'Evita,'" the teaser trailer and Madonna's music video for "You Must Love Me."

"Newsies," which recently danced onto Broadway in a new Tony Award-winning production, was first released on film in 1992. It has a score by Alan Menken and Jack Feldman.

Kenny Ortega directed a cast that included Christian Bale, Ann-Margaret, Bill Pullman, Robert Duvall, David Moscow, Luke Edwards and Max Casella. The film has been digitally restored for the 20th anniversary release.

Special features include audio commentary with filmmakers; "Newsies, Newsies, See All About It" featurette; "Newsies: The Inside Story"; "The Strike! The True Story"; a storyboard-to-scene comparison sequence with audio commentary; and a sing-along feature. Also released is the two-disc collection of "Sister Act" and "Sister Act 2: Back In The Habit," featuring screenplays by Joseph Howard. The initial film is also currently on Broadway in a musical adaptation by Alan Menken and Glenn Slater.

Appearing in the films are Whoopi Goldberg, Harvey Keitel, Kathy Najimy, Lauryn Hill, Maggie Smith and Jennifer Love Hewitt.

The three-disc "Sister Act" set includes the featurette "Inside Sister Act"; music videos; and the theatrical trailers.
