News EXCLUSIVE: Algonquin's Oak Room to Welcome Ross, Maggart, Sullivan, Akers, Marcovicci in 2011 Playbill.com has learned initial details about the 2011 season in the Algonquin Hotel's Oak Room, which is currently presenting cabaret favorite Andrea Marcovicci through the end of the year.

The New Year will kick off at the intimate venue Jan. 4-15 with Eric Comstock and Barbara Fasano in Helluva Town: A New York Soundtrack.

Veteran singer/pianist Steve Ross will make the Algonquin his home Jan. 18-Feb. 12. His new show, entitled Rhythm and Romance, will feature such standards as "I Got Rhythm," "Crazy Rhythm" and "Isn’t It Romantic." He will be followed by Maude Maggart, who will offer a Valentine of a show Feb. 15-March 12.

Spring offerings will include KT Sullivan, who will perform songs by female composers and lyricists May 3-28, and Claire Martin and Sir Richard Rodney Bennett, who will pay tribute to the work of Irving Berlin May 31-June 18 in a show titled A Couple of Swells.

Although dates have yet to be finalized, the fall 2011 season at the famed nightspot will feature Karen Akers, Sandy Stewart and Bill Charlap, and Andrea Marcovicci.
