News EXCLUSIVE: NYC Premiere of Jim Dale's Solo Show, Still Carrying On, Set for April Playbill.com has learned that the The Paley Center for Media will present the Manhattan premiere of Tony Award winner Jim Dale's new solo show.

Entitled Jim Dale: Still Carrying On, the evening at the New York City venue is scheduled for April 28 at 6:30 PM. Jim Dale: Still Carrying On is described as such: "This ninety-minute presentation, filled with music and recollections, will trace the versatile actor's unique career—which began when Dale headlined in the music halls of Great Britain and subsequently starred in twelve of the popular 'Carry On' films. In addition to his many acting appearances first with Laurence Olivier's National Theater in Great Britain, and then on and Off-Broadway . . . Dale recently gained a whole new generation of fans as the voice of the 'Harry Potter' audiobooks and the narrator of the ABC series 'Pushing Daisies.'"

Aaron Gandy will be the evening's music director; pianist and co-arranger is Mark York.

Jim Dale won Tony and Drama Desk awards for his work in Barnum, and was most recently seen on Broadway in the Roundabout Theatre Company's production of The Threepenny Opera for which he won the Drama Desk Award and was Tony-nominated. His other Broadway credits include Scapino, Joe Egg, Me and My Girl and Candide.
