Broadway News Exclusive: Playbill Store Offers Dear Evan Hansen Tote Bag for Charity Proceeds will benefit the Trevor Project, the Born This Way Foundation, and other causes.

Whether the load they have to carry is “so big” or “so small,” fans of the new Broadway musical hit Dear Evan Hansen will want to carry it in the new tote bag, designed by a dedicated fan of the show.

Available now in the Playbill Store, the tote is being offered as a special promotion: All proceeds from its sale are being donated to the show’s non-profit partners the Child Mind Institute, Crisis Text Line, The JED Foundation, The Trevor Project, and the Born This Way Foundation.

The Dear Evan Hansen cast album recently debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard chart. The musical, which began performances at the Music Box Theatre on Broadway November 14, 2016, and opened to critical acclaim December 4, follows one student's struggle for identity amidst the chaos of high school, and boasts a score by the Tony-, Emmy-, and Oscar-nominated songwriting team of Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (Dogfight, A Christmas Story), a book by Obie Award winner Steven Levenson (Masters of Sex), choreography by Danny Mefford (Fun Home), and direction by three-time Tony nominee Michael Greif (Rent, Next to Normal, If/Then).

The cast of Dear Evan Hansen is made up of Ben Platt, Laura Dreyfuss, Rachel Bay Jones, Jennifer Laura Thompson, Mike Faist, Michael Park, Will Roland, Kristolyn Lloyd, Michael Lee Brown, Garrett Long, Olivia Puckett, Colton Ryan, and Asa Somers.
