The Feb. 8 discussion — titled Shylock: Villain, Victim or Something Else? — is part of the "Theater Talk @ Makor" series. Makor, a program of the 92nd Street Y, is located at 35 West 67th Street, between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue. The one-night-only event will also feature Gareth Armstrong, writer and star of the new play Shylock; and "Shakespeare and the Jews" scholar James Shapiro. New York Times culture writer Anita Gates will be the evening's moderator. Show time is 7:30 PM.

F. Murray Abraham, most recently on Broadway in Triumph of Love, has also appeared on the Main Stem in A Month in the Country, Angels in America, Teibele and Her Demon, Legend, The Ritz, Bad Habits, 6 Rms Riv Vu and The Man in the Glass Booth. He won the Academy Award for his work in the film of "Amadeus."
