News Fall "Mufti" Season Kicks Off with I Can Get It for You Wholesale Oct. 21 The York Theatre Company's acclaimed "Musicals in Mufti" series begins its new season Oct. 21 with I Can Get It for You Wholesale.

The company of the 1962 Jerome Weidman and Harold Rome musical includes Chris Hoch (Meyer), Rena Strober (Ruthie), Jodi Stevens (Martha), Jonathan Hammond (Teddy), Andrea Burns (Blanche), Josh Prince (Harry), Anne Torsiglieri (Miss Marmelstein), Stuart Zagnit (Maurice), Christopher Totten (Sheldon/Tootsie) and Jana Robbins as Mrs. Bogen.

Wholesale, which is set in the 1930's New York garment district, will be presented at the York's home, Saint Peter's Theatre in Citigroup Center, beginning Oct. 21 at 8 PM. Additional performance dates are Oct. 22 at 2:30 and 8 PM and Oct. 23 at 2:30 and 7:30 PM. Richard Sabellico directs the production with musical direction by Danny Percefull.

The Great Big Radio Show! will be the next offering in the "Mufti" series, playing its weekend of five performances Oct. 28-30. The musical comedy, which features a book by Philip Glassborow and Nick McIvor and music and lyrics by Glassborow, was first presented in London in 1992. The York engagement will mark the musical's American premiere. Set in 1933 New York, the musical concerns a weekly radio variety program that is about to air live, but the star of the show, Gloria Pilbeam, cannot be found.

Jeffrey Kindley and Craig Carnelia's Is There Life After High School will follow, playing the York Nov. 4-6. This 1982 Broadway musical will feature direction by composer-lyricist Carnelia with musical direction by Brian Perry.

Audience discussions will follow matinee performances of each production. Other offerings in the 2005-2006 "Mufti" season will include Jeff Hochhauser and Bob Johnston's Theda Bara and the Frontier Rabbi and the New York premiere of Tom Jones, Harvey Schmidt and Elizabeth Diggs' Mirette. The York Theatre Company's season will also feature two fully produced mainstage productions, two workshops and a family-friendly production.
