News Fascinating Aida Makes New York Theatrical Debut in May "Absolutely Fabulous" meets Noël Coward as sung by the Andrews Sisters is the way the British musical comedy trio Fascinating Aida describe themselves.

The Olivier Award-nominated singers-actresses will make their New York theatrical debut May 18 at 59E59 Theaters, playing a four-week engagement through June 13. Directed by Simon Green, Fascinating Aida stars founding members Adele Anderson and Dillie Keane as well as newcomer Liza Pulman. Russell Churney is the musical director of the show, which will officially open May 20. The engagement is part of the current Brits Off Broadway Festival.

Fascinating Aida recently received three Olivier Award nominations for the 20th anniversary run in London's West End. The trio sings "hilarious original songs of love and sex . . . each number reflects the age we're in and the age we are at." In March 1998, Fascinating Aida played a brief run at the Firebird Cafe, but this engagement will mark the group's debut in a New York theatre.

Fascinating Aida will play Tuesday through Friday evenings at 8 PM, Saturdays at 7 and 10 PM and Sundays at 3 and 7 PM. All shows are in Theater A at 59E59 Theaters, located in Manhattan at 59 East 59th Street. Tickets, priced at $50, are available by calling (212) 279-4200 or by visiting www.ticketcentral.com.
