Beginning April 6, the Olivier Award-nominated singers-actresses will play a limited engagement at Theatre Row's Kirk Theatre through May 15 with an official opening night set for April 11. Directed by Simon Green, Fascinating Aida's return engagement will feature founding members Adele Anderson and Dillie Keane as well as newcomer Liza Pulman. Russell Churney is the production's musical director and pianist. Fascinating Aida recently received three Olivier Award nominations for the 20th anniversary run in London's West End. The trio sings "hilarious original songs of love and sex . . . each number reflects the age we're in and the age we are at." In March 1998, Fascinating Aida played a brief run at the Firebird Cafe; the group made its New York theatrical debut at 59E59 Theaters and played a return engagement at the Acorn Theatre in Sept. 2004.
Fascinating Aida will play Tuesday through Saturday evenings at 8 PM, Saturday matinees at 2 PM and Sundays at 3 and 7 PM. The Kirk Theatre is located at 410 West 42nd Street. Tickets, priced at $51.25, are available by calling (212) 279-4200 or by visiting www.ticketcentral.org.
