Fat!, a late-night musical from the creators of Go Ask Alice and Darling Quints, will be unveiled May 14 at the Celebration Theatre in Los Angeles. Producer John Copeland calls it "a big fat-ass multi-gender drag queen feminist musical love story about food." Written by Patricia Corter and Kevin M. Mitchell, the show looks at the absurdity of our obsession with body image. The story involves six weight-conscious people who enroll at the Fat Chance Fat Farm to achieve their ultimate dream of being thin. They are obliged to confront their own demons: anorexia nervosa, compulsive eating disorders and low self-esteem. Starring are Divinity Fudge and Tim Bennett.

The Celebration Theatre is at 7051 Santa Monica Blvd. in Hollywood. Fri. & Sat. nights at 10.30 PM. Call (323) 666-l647 for information.
