News Fatal Attraction—with Corey Feldman—to Play East 13th Street Theatre; Tickets Now on Sale As previously announced, former teen star Corey Feldman — seen in such films as "Stand By Me" and "Goonies" — will head the cast of a stage adaptation of the film thriller "Fatal Attraction."

Fatal Attraction: A Greek Tragedy, written by Alana McNair and Kate Wilkinson, will begin performances at the East 13th Street Theatre June 30 with an official opening set for July 7. Directed by Timothy Haskell, the limited engagement will play through Aug. 27. Feldman will star in the role created on screen by Michael Douglas. No other casting has been announced.

The comedy, according to production notes, "lovingly, liberally and loosely satirizes the well-known thriller film from 1987. A big-time corporate lawyer has a one-night stand with a no-nonsense business woman while his wife is away. When the corporate hag forgets her place, all heck breaks loose! The park, the opera, the bunny, and the tub ensue. Skewering the film’s blatant fear of the successful business woman, and celebration of traditional family values, this Greek Tragedy adopts a chorus that comments on the action by using texts from the Greek tragedy oeuvre, as well as from turn of the century home etiquette propaganda."

Corey Feldman's numerous film credits include "Goonies," "Lost Boys," "Gremlins," "Stand By Me," "License to Drive," "The 'burbs" and "Bordello of Blood." He has also been seen on the small screen in "The Bad News Bears" and the first season of the reality series "The Surreal Life."

The 1987 film "Fatal Attraction" — written by James Dearden and Nicholas Meyer — featured Michael Douglas as Dan Gallagher, a married man whose one-night affair with Alex Forrest (Glenn Close) turns deadly. The film was nominated for six Academy Awards, including Best Picture.

Fatal Attraction: A Greek Tragedy will play Tuesday-Saturday evenings at 8 PM, with additional performances Fridays and Saturdays at 10:30 PM and Sundays at 6 PM. Tickets, priced $45 and $50, are now available by calling (212) 279-4200 or by visiting www.ticketcentral.com. The East 13th Street Theatre is located at 136 East 13th Street between Third and Fourth Avenues, just southeast of Union Square.
