As previously reported, theatre veteran and society figure Kitty Carlisle Hart will regale audiences with stories about the people she has worked with throughout her lengthy career. From Sept. 21-23, cabaretgoers can expect to hear Hart interpret tunes by Jerome Kern, George Gershwin and Kurt Weill. David Lewis, Hart's musical director, will accompany her on piano. Hart will be followed by Robert Klein, best known to Broadway audiences for his Tony-nominated performance in They're Playing Our Song. The comedic actor-singer will offer shows Sept. 28-Oct. 8.
Grammy Award winner Melissa Manchester — of "Don't Cry Out Loud" fame — will take centerstage at Feinstein's Oct. 26-Nov. 5. Tony and Olivier Award winner Patti LuPone, who scored raves for her work last season in the Encores! mounting of Can-Can, will follow, playing Nov. 8-20. And, Karen Mason, most recently on Broadway in Mamma Mia!, will perform two shows only on Nov. 13 at 8:30 and 11 PM.
The 2004 season will conclude with Michael Feinstein himself, who will perform at the club he established Dec. 7-31.
