Many of the New York City screenings feature talkbacks with members of the Broadway cast of Fela!
The musical depiction of Afrobeat musician and activist Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, which ended its Broadway run at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre Jan. 2, 2011, began performances at London's National Nov. 6, 2010. The London screening will be broadcast to 352 venues in 20 countries, including 86 theatres in the United States and 85 in Canada.
Tony Award nominee Sahr Ngaujah reprises his performance as Fela for London audiences, with a cast featuring Paulette Ivory and Melanie Marshall, and an ensemble including Lydie Alberto, Cindy Belliot, Nandi Bhebhe, Ricardo Coke Thomas, Scarlette Douglas, Jacqui Dubois, Poundo Gomis, Jazmine Jarret Thorpe, Aisha Jawando, Wanjiru Kamuyu, Nyron Levy, Ira Mandela Siobhan, Shelley-Ann Maxwell, Tamara McKoy Patterson, Catia Moto da Cruz, Pamela Okoroafor, Jermaine Rowe and Craig Stein.
The production is directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Bill T. Jones.

A talkback will also follow the Jan. 13 broadcast at Mann's Chinese Theater in California and will feature Abena Koosam and Sandra Izadore (who dated Fela and was a character in the show).
