The Off-Broadway not-for-profit has dubbed the spread "Ten by Twenty." The plays were commissioned by notable playwrights whose work has been produced at the resident theatre over the past two decades.
At the new 99-set theatre on West 16th Street, expect new works by Hilary Bell, Jez Butterworth, Kia Corthron, Tom Donaghy, John Guare, Peter Hedges, Kevin Heelan, Tina Howe, Rolin Jones, Howard Korder, Quincy Long, Craig Lucas, David Mamet, Joe Penhall, David Pittu, David Rabe, Keith Reddin, Edwin Sanchez, Jeff Whitty and Bill Wrubel.
The 99-seat Atlantic Stage 2 theatre at 330 W. 16th Street will house two productions of new works each season and serve as a home theatre for the Atlantic Theater Company Acting School. The ribbon cutting is scheduled for 10 AM June 14.

"Ten By Twenty" will reunite many of Atlantic's ensemble of actors and directors. Three different programs of works will run over three consecutive weeks beginning June 14.

Atlantic is currently presenting the world premiere of the musical Spring Awakening, directed by Michael Mayer and featuring music by Duncan Sheik and book and lyrics by Steven Sater, which will officially open Off-Broadway June 15 at the Atlantic Main Stage (336 West 20th Street).

Atlantic maintains an ensemble of acclaimed actors, writers and directors including David Mamet (playwright and director) and William H. Macy (Academy Award nominee for "Fargo"), who founded Atlantic 21 years ago, in 1985.
