Ahead of the premiere of Feud: Bette and Joan, FX has announced that the next season of Ryan Murphy’s latest anthology series will explore the tempestuous relationship between Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana. Jon Robin Baitz, who received a Tony Award nomination in 2012 for his play Other Desert Cities, is set to pen Feud: Charles and Diana alongside Murphy.

Feud: Bette and Joan, charting the infamous Hollywood rivalry between Bette Davis and Joan Crawford during the filming of What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?, airs its first of eight episodes on FX March 5. The cast features Susan Sarandon and Tony winner Jessica Lange in the title roles.

In addition to Other Desert Cities, Baitz’s plays include Three Hotels, Ten Unknowns, The Paris Letter, and The Substance of Fire. His screen work includes penning the NBC miniseries The Slap, creating and executive producing ABC’s Brothers & Sisters, and serving as a consulting producer on Murphy’s upcoming Katrina: American Crime Story.
