The New York-based group brings their singular style to Shakespeare’s comedy at Classic Stage Company.
Performances begin November 29 for Fiasco Theater’s staging of Twelfth Night at Off-Broadway’s Classic Stage Company. Fiasco Co-Artistic Director Jessie Austrian stars as Olivia alongside company members Noah Brody as Orsino and Emily Young as Viola.
Mistaken identity, wild characters, and unusual courtships are all combined in Shakespeare’s popular comedy set on the island of Illyria. Fiasco’s Twelfth Night is co-directed by co-Artistic Director Ben Steinfeld and Brody, and will officially open December 14.
The limited Off-Broadway engagement is scheduled through January 6, 2018.
Completing the cast are Tina Chilip as Maria, Paul L. Coffey as Malvolio, Andy Grotelueschen as Sir Toby Belch, Javier Ignacio as Sebastian, David Samuel as Antonio, Ben Steinfeld as Feste, and Paco Tolson as Sir Andrew Aguecheek.
Scenic design is by Classic Stage Company Artistic Director John Doyle, with costume design by Emily Rebholz and lighting design by Ben Stanton.
