News Fiddler, Little Shop, Wedding Singer, Doubt Will Be Part of West VA Public Theatre Season Tony nominee Eddie Mekka will star as Tevye in the West Virginia Public Theatre's July production of the award-winning musical Fiddler on the Roof.

The 25th anniversary season at the theatre will launch with the Lerner and Loewe musical My Fair Lady, running June 23-28. Michael Licata directs a cast including Renée Brna (Eliza Doolittle), Randy Kovitz (Henry Higgins) and Drew Taylor (Alfred P. Doolittle).

Alan Menken and Howard Ashman's Little Shop of Horrors, running June 30-July 5, will feature Kate Fahrner (Audrey), Robert Anthony Jones (Seymour), Bob Arnold (Mushnik) and Michael Edward Hodge (Audrey II Manipulation). Following will be Disney's High School Musical, running July 8-12. Doe Deer directs a cast including Brian Hissong (Troy) and Heidi Giberson (Gabriella), with choreography by Chris Saunders.

John Patrick Shanley's Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning play Doubt will run July 14-19. Ron Iannone and David S. Sollish co-direct the 90-minute drama that stars Alison Edwards (Sister Aloysius), Duke LaFoon (Father Flynn) and Therese Plummer (Sister James).

The Matthew Sklar-Chad Begeulin musical The Wedding Singer follows, playing July 21-26. The 1980's-themed musical features Kevin Kraft (Robbie Hart), Erin Elizabeth Coors (Julia) and Virginia Seidel (Rosie). Michael Licata will direct with choreography by Laura West-Strawser.

Geoffrey Hitch will direct the beloved Bock-Harnick-Stein musical Fiddler on the Roof, running July 28-Aug. 2, with Eddie Mekka as Tevye. Chris Saunders choreographs. The final offering will be Andrew Lloyd Webber's long-running Broadway hit Cats. Stephanie Lang directs and choreographs the engagement that runs Aug. 4-9.
