The original cast recording of the critically acclaimed revival of Fiddler on the Roof is available for sale at the Broadway Theatre beginning March 10. The CD will be released elsewhere beginning March 18.

Cast members from Fiddler will perform from and sign the show's cast recording (Broadway Records label) March 18 at 4:30 PM at the Barnes & Noble bookstore on the Upper East Side (150 East 86th Street).

The Barnes & Noble event will feature Tony-winning lyricist Sheldon Harnick, five-time Tony nominee Danny Burstein, who stars as Tevye, and other cast members, who will be accompanied by Tony-winning musical director Ted Sperling. Barnes & Noble offers priority seating with a CD purchase in store. For more information click here.

The cast recording features two special bonus tracks. Adam Kantor (Motel) and Alexandra Silber (Tzeitel) have recorded “Dear Sweet Sewing Machine," marking the first time this song will be on an official Fiddler cast album. The song was written originally for Fiddler on the Roof by Jerry Bock and Harnick, but was ultimately cut from the show after its first few previews out of town in Detroit. Harnick gave his approval when the opportunity arose to record it, as it remains a favorite song of his. New orchestrations for the song were written by Oran Eldor. And, famed violinist Itzhak Perlman has recorded "Excerpts from Fiddler on the Roof," arranged by John Williams.

To pre-order the recording, visit the label's website. The album is being produced by David Lai, Ted Sperling and Louise Gund.
