News Final Casting Announced for New Production of Boy George's Taboo in London Final casting has been announced for the new London production of Boy George's Taboo, beginning performances Sept. 6 prior to an official opening Sept. 12, at Brixton's Club House.

Sarah Ingram and Michael Matus join the previously announced Matthew Rowland as Boy George, Paul Baker as Philip Salloon, Sam Buttery as Leigh Bowery, Adam Bailey as Marilyn, Katie Kerr as Sue Tilley, Owain Williams as Steve Strange, Niamh Perry as Kim and Alistair Brammer as Billy.

Ingram wil play young photographer Billy's mother Josie, and Matus will play her drunk and homophobic husband, Derek. Also in the cast are Daniella Bowen as Janey, the journalist, and Zeph Gould, Alex Hammond and Jennifer Hepburn as the ensemble.



Ingram's recent credits include Miss Hannigan in Annie (West Yorkshire Playhouse), Road Show (Menier Chocolate Factory), Hannah Owens in Flashdance (Shaftesbury Theatre, West End) and Mrs. Blair in Inherit The Wind (Old Vic).

Matus has worked extensively with Shared Experience and the Royal Shakespeare Company. He originated the role of Benoit the Fool in the original cast of Martin Guerre. Recent credits include Ali in Oklahoma! (Chichester), Stephen/Bob Cratchitt in A Christmas Carol (Arts), Tito in Lend Me a Tenor (Plymouth and Gielgud), the Baker in The Baker's Wife (Union) and most recently Valenti in Wonderful Town (The Lowry and U.K. Tour).
