The final performance in a series produced by the Atlantic Theatre Company, featuring company founder David Mamet's Revenge of the Space Pandas, will be staged on March 3. The series first opened for New York City public school students on Feb. 14.
Atlantic company member Robert Bella directed the Saturday performances which have been presented at 10:30 AM as part of the ATC Acting School's children's season.
As reported, production notes describe Revenge of the Space Pandas, or Binky Rudich and the Two Speed Clock, as a "charming play about time travel and space pandas for children and adults. The main character, Binky Rudich, invents a Two Speed Clock which allows him to travel through space and time."
This marks the second season for ATC's educational outreach program for children. Last spring, ATC produced The Poet and The Rent and The Frog Prince both by Mamet. Last fall, ATC staged The Adventures of Por Quinly by Quincy Long.
Tickets for Revenge of the Space Pandas are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. The Atlantic Theater Company is located at 336 W. 20th St., between Eighth and Ninth Avenues.
