Classic Arts News Finalists Named for Cardiff Singer of the World Song Prize The Cardiff Singer of the World competition has named the five singers who will compete in the final for the Rosenblatt Recital Song Prize on June 17.
The finalists are tenor Andrew Kennedy of England, bass Mikhail Kolelishvili of Georgia, mezzo-soprano Wendy Dawn Thompson of New Zealand, baritone Quinn Kelsey of the United States, and soprano Nicole Cabell of the United States.

Cabell recently completed three years of training at the Lyric Opera Center for American Artists, and Kelsey is currently part of the program.

The competition for the main prize is also underway; the fourth of five preliminary concerts takes place tonight. The finalists will be announced after the last concert on June 16.
