The FRS is also broadcasting regular concerts, available on its website at http://www.yle.fi/rso. Details regarding individual concerts are currently avilable only in Finnish.

The Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra's highly respected chief conductor is Helsinki native Sakari Oramo, who has been at the helm since 2003. Earlier in his career he was the orchestra's concertmaster. Oramo was appointed chief conductor and artistic advisor of the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra earlier this year (effective in the 2008-09 season) and has also been music director of the Birmingham Symphony Orchestra since 1999.
