LOS ANGELES -- Falsettos, the Tony Award-winning musical, will have its Los Angeles small-theatre premiere at the St. Genesius Theatre. Directed by David Galligan, the show opens Oct. 1 at 8 PM and runs through Nov. 8.
With music and lyrics by William Finn and libretto by Finn and James Lapine, Falsettos combines the second and third parts of Finn's "Marvin Trilogy:" March of the Falsettos and Falsettoland. The show ran for more than a year on Broadway.
Heading the cast are Michael Laun and Kimberly Lewis. Other performers include Kathy Garrick, Paul Green, Alex Mandelberg, Deborah Nishimura and Bret Shefter. The musical director is Richard Berent.

Finn has had a busy year Off-Broadway. Falsettos was revived by an all-Asian company, his latest, A New Brain played at Lincoln Center, and he contributed a song-scene to the evening of one-acts, Love's Fire. -- By Willard Manus
