Check out the video above for an exclusive first listen to "Spindlewood," one of the tracks featured on the upcoming studio cast recording of The Clockmaker's Daughter. The concept album for the new musical by Michael Webborn and Daniel Finn is set to release February 14.
The track primarily features Fra Fee (currently on Broadway in The Ferryman), who takes on the role of Will Riley on the recording. Also heard are Hamilton alum Christine Allado as Constance, Hannah Waddingham as Ma Riley, and Lauren James Ray as Amelia.
As previously reported, the Auburn Jam Records release also features Ramin Karimloo (most recently on Broadway in Anastasia) and Matthew Croke (Aladdin). The ensemble includes Barry Keenan, Emma Warren, Seán Carey, Caroline Kay, Matthew McCabe, Rebecca Gilliland, Leah Pinney, Alan McHale, and Suzi Zuzu Knudsen.
Set in the fictional Irish town of Spindlewood, the musical revolves around the peculiar tradition of the Turning of the Key. Every year, on the last night of winter, as the first day of spring unfolds, the townsfolk gather to take part in the strange ritual. The show premiered in London in 2015.
