Production Photos First Look at Ben Chaplin in Old Vic’s Mood Music Performances began April 21 at the London venue.

Tony nominee Ben Chaplin stars in the world premiere of Joe Penhall’s Mood Music, directed by Roger Michell (Notting Hill). Performances began April 21, prior to an official opening May 2.

The production also features Pip Carter, Kurt Egyiawan, Seána Kerslake, Jemma Redgrave, and Neil Stuke.

The play explores the legal battle between a young songwriter (Kerslake) and her producer (Chaplin) over the rights to one of her hit songs; performances will run through June 16.

The production has set design by Hildegard Bechtler, costume design by Dinah Collins, compositions by music supervisor David Arnold, and lighting by Rick Fisher.
