The New York premiere of Loy A. Webb’s The Light is set to begin performances January 23. Directed by Logan Vaughn, the MCC production will mark the company’s first show in its new home, the Robert W. Wilson MCC Theater Space on 52nd street.

The Light stars Drama Desk Award winner McKinley Belcher III (The Royale, The Art of Racing in The Rain) and Mandi Masden (Saint Joan, Jitney). Unfolding in real time, the play introduces us to Rashad and Genesis on what should be one of the happiest days of their lives: a marriage proposal.
