His first show, rescheduled from Nov. 5 due to Hurricane Sandy, welcomes Tony Award-winning lyricist and composer, as well as longtime friend and former bandmate, Adam Guettel (The Light in the Piazza).

Yazbek, whose influences range from Captain Beefheart to Frank Loesser, "plans to deliver musical pyrotechnics, new songs debuted at every show, and unexpected, thrilling guests from the worlds of theatre, music, comedy and beyond," according to 92YTribeca.

Yazbek, a recording artist, vocalist and pianist, is a three-time Tony Award nominee for his work on Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and The Full Monty. He also contributed additional lyrics to Broadway's Bombay Dreams.
