News “Five Generations” of Matildas Reunite in Concert Matildapalooza at Feinstein’s/54 Below will feature 19 young actresses who have performed in the title role.

Feinstein’s/54 Below will present Matildapalooza January 6, February 3 and 4, 2017. The concert will feature all “five generations” of actresses who have performed in the title role since Matilda The Musical opened on Broadway.

Matildapalooza will feature Sophia Gennusa, Oona Laurence, Bailey Ryon, Milly Shapiro, Paige Brady, Gabriella Pizzolo, Ripley Sobo, Ava Ulloa, Tori Feinstein, Eliza Holland Madore, Brooklyn Shuck, Fina Strazza, Mattea Conforti, Rileigh McDonald, MiMi Ryder, Alexandra Vlachos, Ava Briglia, Willow McCarthy and Aviva Winick. The young performers will sing their favorite songs from Broadway and beyond.

Based on Roald Dahl’s popular children’s book, Matilda the Musical tells the story of a little girl who discovers extraordinary powers, helping her find an escape from her rotten parents and evil headmistress. The musical features music and lyrics by Tim Minchin and a book by Dennis Kelly; it opened on Broadway in April 2013.

Matilda’s children’s music director, Deborah Abramson, will music direct Matildapalooza, and Van Dean (of Broadway Records) is the producer.
