News   Five of the Top 24 "American Idol" Finalists Revealed
The first five semifinalists for the tenth season of "American Idol," which is often a stepping stone to the Broadway stage, were are announced Feb. 23 by judges Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez and Randy Jackson.

The five semifinalists who have secured a spot in this season’s Top 24 are Naima Adedapo from Milwaukee, WI; Clint Jun Gamboa from Long Beach, CA; Ashthon Jones from Nashville, TN; Paul McDonald from Nashville, TN; and Haley Reinhart from Wheeling, IL.

The remaining 19 contestants who will round out the Top 24 will be announced during the Feb. 24 broadcast of "Idol," which airs on Fox 8-10 PM ET.

Among the many "American Idol" finalists and/or winners who have appeared on Broadway are Fantasia, Justin Guarini, Jordin Sparks, Diana DeGarmo, Ace Young, Tamyra Gray, Constantine Maroulis, Frenchie Davis, Clay Aiken and Taylor Hicks.
