The Muny, the nation's largest outdoor theatre located in St. Louis' Forest Park, celebrates its centennial season this year with productions of Jerome Robbins’ Broadway (June 11–17, 2018), The Wiz (June 19–25), Singin’ in the Rain (June 27–July 3), Jersey Boys (July 9–16), Annie (July 18–25), Gypsy (July 27–August 2), and Meet Me In St. Louis (August 4–12).
“This is an incredible moment in our history to celebrate a 100th season, and I think these titles are a great nod to our history and future,” said Muny President and CEO Denny Reagan in a statement.
In 1919 the Muny was officially dubbed the St. Louis Municipal Opera Theatre, or The Muny, kicking off their first official season with a production of Robin Hood.
To celebrate 100 years at the Muny the theatre shared 100 photos of theatre legends and renowned celebrities who have graced the giant stage at the 11,000-set venue over the course of its century-long history.
