News Florida's GableStage to Present Mamet's Broadway Comedy, November Last season's Broadway comedy November, penned by David Mamet, will make its Southeastern premiere Oct. 18 at GableStage at the Biltmore in Coral Gables.

Directed by GableStage's producing artistic director Joseph Adler, the Mamet work will play the Florida venue through Nov. 16.

The cast comprises Dave Corey, Wayne LeGette, Kevin Reilley, Stacy Schwartz and David Kwiat as the President.

November, according to press notes, "takes place in the Oval Office. It centers on fictional President Charles H.P. Smith several days before his bid for re-election. [The play] involves civil marriages, gambling casinos, lesbians, American Indians, presidential libraries, questionable pardons and campaign contributions."

November opened in its world premiere Jan. 17, 2008, at the Barrymore Theatre following previews that began Dec. 20, 2007. Nathan Lane portrayed a U.S. President in a cast that also boasted Laurie Metcalf and Dylan Baker.
