Community theatre hell is the subject of Craig Alpaugh's farce, Theatre Hell!, ending its Florida premiere Nov. 5 at Gorilla Theatre. Performances began Oct. 19. David O'Hara (Gorilla's Travels With My Aunt) directs. In Hell!, professional theatre director Dickie Fennsworth agrees to helm a new play for an obscure community theatre. But the seasoned Fennsworth quickly finds adverisity and insanity in the world of non professional productions. Theatre Hell! received its world premiere at the American Renegade Theatre in Los Angeles in fall, 1999.
Alpaugh's other works include Rocky, The Renegade Reindeer, Bless Me Father, Lethal Death IV and Empress of the Blues.
